    A date with Headache...

Woke up today, having a little tinge of having Headache upon me for the rest of the day. Probably the late nights that im having.

Met Liying and Elaine for lunch at "Tang Chao" (Sweet Dynasty) at TST. First time i have been to the newly renovated and relocated place, not bad overall. But the dessert that i ordered was abit dissapointing. The ice cream in the pic was so much larger than the actual one X(

After lunch, we went shopping. Got myself a pair of Black Havaianas("When u own 2 pairs of Havaianas, u dun wanna step on any other flipflops, anymore") with hibiscus motif and a top for my bb. The 2 ladies got alot of stuff, I finally had a chance to witness what they meant by retail therapy!

The whole day, Headache was tagging along. It got worse and worse closing to dinner time. And it was the worst during dinner. Probably shes hungry. Miraculously after dinner, she was gone. Maybe go back to sleep. Bought Panadol on the way back, seems like theres no use for it now, fortunately.

Hope she dun find me again later, of for the matter, anytime soon.

    3D Max!!

Finally i got my hands on 3D Max!!

The other software after Photoshop i was thinking of learning. Must thank my Floormate for it!

Ok, after playing with it for awhile, i realise that this software is so much deeper than PS. It will take quite some time for me to learn the basics, that is if i have time to learn at all...

I shall make use of my last stretch of LONG ACADEMIC HOLIDAY to self learn 3D MAX!!!!!!

    Wish me luck!

    First Day of Exams!
Oh boy today was a damn hot day and the humidity is high(still raining yesterday). My exam venue was 10mins walk away up slope. Luckily it was quite windy on the way, was able to hold back my perspiration.

It was Good Game when i reached the entrance of the Venue, Flora Ho Sports Hall. There was damn alot of people at the entrance where u need to tap ur student card to get into. And the heat was out of this world(maybe Mars), my sweat began to "flows like water...".

It was probably the heat also that melted li ying's slipper, her toe strap there melted away and she had to buy a new pair at Westwood after the exams. (Ok it broke, i just want to emphasise on the heat)

Other than the really cramp spaces(also in the sports hall), the rest were about the same. I found my seat and looked around, almost everyone were Chinese. They had this 3 big flood lights clock that i really like. Yea, but despite that, the invigilator still announced the time left WRONGLY! When we had 1hr left, she interrupted everyone and announced "You all have 30 mins left". It stirred abit of commotion and giggles from the students where only like 5 full seconds later did the invigilator noticed her error and said again, "Oh sorry, you all have 30 mins left".

At this point of time i really thought she was an Al Qaeda terrorist and had plans to bomb the hall. Probably that was why she couldnt focus her attention on saying out the correct time left on the microphone. Seriously... that is super UNprofessionalism la. In my 10+(almost 20) years of education, i have never heard such thing before, can announce wrong time twice even after knowing that it is an error. I mean i have nothing much to lose, i just need a pass, but there might be people out there who were so seriously affected their grades might drop by half or more.

After paper! Had McDinner with Liying after shopping for her slipper. HKD$29 for that kind of slippers i think is really not bad, she bought at U*Right. Did some grocerying before heading back hall.

On the way back, i remebered(again) the few days left in HK. It was then when i realised that i should have brought my camera today! I also realised, that i should take pictures of the path that i have walk on so many times as a souvenier for me to take back. I immediately have an idea on how i can do a creative video using these pictures, but i need to take lots of pictures of the same thing... hmm i think i shall do it, time to take pics again!!

    Worst Migrane Ever!!

And it happened today, a day before my papers tomorrow. My revision for the whole day was really excrutiating. My head was like in a mini evil disney land and everything seems unreal. The words dun get registered into my head. I was so weak i cant talk properly.

I didnt want to rely on panadols at first coz i noe too much of them is no good. But at 5+ 6pm i just had to take a nap after the unfruitful revision. Woke up at around 7pm and the pain is still there. My floormates calling everyone out for dinner but my head told me not to. In the end i da bao dinner back. At least im not hungry now, but the headache by now was really ridiculous. Took 2 panadols and went to bed at 8pm. Woke up at 1050pm after one of my floormates knock my door, finding Monopoly Khakis. I could Sleep no more, now my bio clock is really screwed up..

Since im up now, im gonna do the revision that i wanted to do earlier. Hope im able to sleep later on and not let lethargy affect my paper tomorrow...

That guy lost him on almost every point.
You guys can watch related videos where Taiwanese singers compete also. I mean i saw alot of them and yea some of them really go very high keys and stuff. But the goose bumps came from Ah Shin. He can go high and yet still have the manly feel in his voice...

What have i done Today Part 2: What have i done Last Night

    Floor Superpass!!! Cut Pig!!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Ah siu, our floor tutor cutting the pig into 4 equal parts for the "tradition" which follows..

The "tradition" begins! Here u see each one of us taking our turns to cut the parts of the pig in one slice. Doing so means u will get "shun shun li li" get a superpass for exams. The cutter oso bites a kiwi (Qi Yi guo) which have the words that sounds like "amazing". So each bites a kiwi for amazing results!

Yup, i got mine in one slice. All in all, it was a fun experience. It makes Uni life less stressful. In Singapore, no such tradition and stuff. Its all just competition, backstabings, boot licking and such. OH WELL! Wishing everyone a Superpass for their exams!!

What I have done Today, 11th May Friday...

    Visit To High Court
Woke up at 815am, been a long time since i woke up that early and start the day (Waking up at 9am to pass Nian Long his Notes and going back to sleep does not count). Signed up for the High Court visit@ 10am. Meet up 915am @ Global Lounge, a school bus took us to admiralty. The high court is just opposite admiralty MTR(Lippo Centre).

Stepped into the building, did not feel that you are in a court, almost just another commercial building. It is 14 storeys high. We went to Court 18 on the 8th floor, so the first court probably started from the 3rd floor and all the way up till the 14th floor. I always thought of going to a court with old victorian architecture and steps on the facade, but this seems so modern.

Well, anyway, we went into court 18 and took our seats. We were awaiting the trial of this former policemen who "resisted arrest using firearms.." which was a continuation from yesterday. There were 3 witnesses for the time we were there(we left during break because we didnt think there will be a verdict today). They were Policemen and speak cantonese. The judge was an ang moh, 1 translator, 2 lawyers, a jury and the accused and some other people who facilitated the trial by bringing evidence, bringing witnesses etc. The toughest job i thought was the translator, everything that was said, english or cantonese, needs to be translated. But i looked at the accused sitting behind the panel and thought to myself, "why go through all the trouble? See his face also know he is guilty liao".

I think those who haven hear a court case before, should go see see. We were fortunate to have HKU organised such a visit for us. I must say it was quite an experienced, Li ying please let me noe if theres any conclusion on the case in the papers XD

    H&M Shopping
We left the group at 12pm, they went back school we went for lunch at Macdonalds. It has Been ages since i have eaten anything from M. After lunch, Li ying wanted to do some shopping at H&M. Went down and bought a bag. Haven really done any shopping for myself so it was quite rewarding today for me. After that, went to have dessert at "Man Ji Tian Ping". I ordered this "Perrier Lychee Iced Drink" for HKD$27, quite ex i must say, probably due to the perrier. Well, it was ok only, the perrier is really very gassy. And i always thought that perrier is like Mineral water just, more expensive...

    Going Back..
It was 4pm already so we decided to head back, quite tired oso le... took mini bus back, Li ying helped me to say "sai zup yao lor". Must thank her today for waking her lazy ass up to company me =X But im sure with not much days left, any exploring is worth it!

Returning the Credit Card i found
Yes, decided to return the lost Credit Card to the Bank(BEA) which has a branch in HKU. Yes, decided to forgo all the infinite possibilities i could do with the credit card, such as using it as a coaster......XD

Well, i wasnt sure how i should return it "properly" so i just handed the card to one of the staff in uniform. She asked her superior and was apparently told to ask me to queue up in line. At that moment i was like "WTF!?". ANYWAY, i was next in line so as a law abiding citizen/tourist/exchange student i waited for my turn. I spoke in english with the counter guy and he could not understand me for like 2 mins. He asked if i wanted to cancel my credit card and stuff when i already told him that it was a lost card i had found. Only on the third try did he understand me and check the paritculars of the card owner. He came back and thank me for returning it and they will contact the owner and that was that..... what? Wheres my $1mil dollars reward? My fame and glory? The eternal indebtness?

You must be kidding, at the end of the day, whats most important is that i got a "happy feeling".............. Yeah right.

Went back hall took a quick shower and napped, oh my god i tell u the nap was so good despite the announcements to go for a hall event at 6pm which does not involve exchange students and floormates talking outside, was real tired from waking up so early in a long time.

    Dinner Time
Woke up, 630pm, went for dinner with some of my floormates at some cha chan ting at Bonham road. Quite ex, had baked seafood fried rice and a lemon tea for HKD$37. There was even this coackroach running around under our table. Well, anything for going out, not much time left, must treasure!!

Ok, i just felt like i have written an essay. Will have "Pig cutting" later at 1030pm, the local tradition to wish everyone well all the best for their exams. Would probably have another post on that... Till then, 25 days more!!! It is still a love hate countdown for me..

A story of a good exchange student/tourist/citizen in HK..
He found a Unsignatured Credit Card outside Main Building. It belongs to a person apparently who has just sign up for the credit card on April this year and has not given his/her signature on the card.

Fortunately, this exchange student/tourist/citizen was observant enough to spot the colourful credit card amongst the dark coloured textured flooring which blended quite well with the card. He was also BORED enough to decide to rather return the card to the nearest BEA Branch(1 in HKU) than use the card and take out all the cash and live the UP life and never be looked down upon again and buy all the things he want and travel the world and buy all the luxuries and ferraris and the lamboghinis and....

Well, probably the card should be cancelled by now, so those dun matter.

Im so bored that im blogging about this OMG someone save me.

    27 days and counting....
No amount of credit cards can stop that day from coming!

    Below my Hall...

Have a bazaar and at the same time, a public "demonstration" of the Tian an men massacre in China years ago. It is very common in Hong Kong to see these kinds of display, but i was quite surprise to see them in school too.

So conviniently, just beside is a statue to commemorate those that were killed in the massacre. It was raining today and i saw flowers at the bottom of the statue. It was a moment so solemn i though would be a good time to take some nice pics. But, was too paiseh to go right down to take, so i took it from the top of my hall's podium. Results werent that good, this was wat i got...

Dunno how much of the info is credible though, view at ur own discretion.

On a lighter note, since i have my camera in hand, went to my floor toilet and took a pic of this:

I must say its quite creative, first time ive seen such publicity... But maybe not everyone would go to the mirror straight away after looking at it directly.

    omg... 32 more daysssssss!
