Shen Zhen ' 07!

Took a trip down, i mean up to Shen Zhen today along with myself Jc, my comrades Jessica, Joy, Justin and his SMU friend called Aloysious. Didnt brought my camera along, too paranoid about the pickpocketers in China. Took train from HK and reach SZ in about 1 1/2 hours? Quin was so wrong when she said 3 hrs XD.

Met Joy's uncle who was staying there. He was so hospitable and treated the 5 of us to a FEAST, yes a FEAST in a private room of a local chinese restaurant. The room had its personal space, personal TV, personal chatting corner, personal KTV and personality. Why i call it a FEAST? Coz theres really alot of food the uncle had ordered for us. Easily the most variety of food for an ala carte meal i had since coming to Hong Kong. It was even better because the food is really damn good! We had prawns, fish, small crabs, soup, 2 kinds of clams, vegetables, chicken and somemore i cant remember. And all of them really had standard, afterall its a restaurant not some road side cha cham ting.

The BEST thing was that the cost is really DAMN DIRT CHEAP. The standard and portion of the fish alone in Singapore would cost around SGD$20-$30(or more?) depending on where u eat ur fish. But believe it ornot(i sound like ripley), the whole meal costs only RMB$281, around SGD$50+ I had some of the same stuff in Lamma Island but that cost me an aeroplane, 300% more than compared to ShenZhen which has much more variety! really, if u havent been to these cheap restaurants, u really havent been to China, or Shenzhen in this case.

After cheap food, we went for cheap clothings and stuff. Really damn cheap. When u bargain, u start from 30% of the original price that is offered. They cut prices like nobodys business when u start showing disinterest or when u walk away. Well, i bought a bag and 3 shirts, only the bag for myself.

Oh and about the Cheap people. Self explanatory, we are in China afterall, though its at the border. The traffic is a mess, the cars, the pedestrians, the beggers... everything is messed up. Oh, and its damn hot there in the day, frigging hot!

For dinner, its another round, or rounds of buffet steamboat. We went abit earlier so its more expensive, SGD$4. If it was after 9pm, its SGD$2+
But yea, saw cheap people there who took the tongs to their own table for their own use.

Left around 9+ 10pm... so tired ahh... but its quite a trip =]
