New Year, New Skin, New happenings, New clothes(one new jacket nia) but good Old me =)
Chu Xi
My family came on this day to visit me in Hong Kong! Meeting at my Hall first as they had brought me CNY goodies including the love letters made by my bb and pillow and blanket cover. Had a group photo with my floor mates first before leaving for the hotel.
Chu Xi was a rather relaxing day for us as the folks were tired after the flight, everyone took a afternoon nap upon reaching our hotel, Royal Pacific Hotel and Towers, at Tsim Sa Chui. Woke up in the evening and had a little time to spare before our Reunion Dinner @ 8pm via reservation. Did some phototakings and sight seeing along Harbour City, the largest shopping centre in Hong Kong.

Having a fast lunch at the Central Pier before taking the ferry back to our Hotel at Tsim Sa Chui

Outside our Hotel room, 1638. Buy 4D liao or not huh?

Our Hotel from outside.

The road outside our Hotel, Canton Road. On our way for dinner...

8pm! Just outside Harbour City they are displaying their daily light show @ 8pm. No such thing in Singapore...

Many shops inside with "JC". I didn't noe i had a stake in Versace hmmmm...

"Ok."

Reached the restaurant, Super Star Seafood Restaurant SSSR, sounds like some dragon ball character

The eats.

"err... i dun think so."

After dinner, went to the clock tower where the carnival event on the 1st day of CNY is going to take place.

Dad taking shots.

What do you know, they are rehearsing for the big event !!

colourful eh?

Playing with my camera while on the way back to hotel after Dinner

bb's collage she made from the photos taken by my dad. A summary of the day's happenings =)
Chu Yi
Happy CNY!!! The event for today is to go Lantau Island's Big O(Da Ow) and to watch the fireworks display at night!

Dad and Son at it again...

Brunch! Went to this "Taiwan niu rou mian" eatery opposite our hotel. The managers can be seen giving red packets to the workers.

Food is ok only...

SANTA!!! His surname is Cai, name is Shen Ye. Standing outside the eatery giving customers red packets.

I got one from him too! Ive been a good boy! Inside is a gold inggot chocolate nugget.

On the ferry back to Central pier to change to the fast ferry to Lantau Island. He nv gets tired eh?

Me neither...

"This way to Lantau Island"

Reached. Lantau Island: Urban and natural landscape...

While waiting for bus to Big O...

Big O, I dun see any Os anywhere... nice scenery though

Paid HKD$20 each to go for a 30mins boat ride to see the traditional stilt houses and to also hunt for pink dolphins!

My mom posing....

Every mom has a chance...

Stilt houses: boats as transport and shit below

Lau Hero

Saw another group passing us by on our way out to sea to hunt for pink dolphins...

The last photo shows a big rock on the right. The "tour guide boat driver" told us it looks like a general lying his back on the mountain.

Look at the middle rocks, I felt that this looks like someone i know and his name or rather, his nickname is B_B_ _ _ _

Personally i liked this photo that i took...
So was i able to see any pink dolphins?! YES I DID!!! LOOK BELOW!!

On the top, right of the middle, u can see, statues of the pink dolphins. Apparently i was not able to find and LIVE ones. I did manage to see a DEAD one though as directed by the boat driver to a black plastic bag on the shore.
CONCLUSION: WE ARE DUPED! Its a conspiracy! Theres no pink dolphins at all! The things are there just to make us think that there are really PDs!!!!
Ok i noe what happened to the PDs... all of them are in HERE!!!

Alight the boat and went to Inside the market area...

He can fight with the energizer bunny liao... Eat orange oso can take pictures

Introducing, Mr Bye. He bbqs dried cuttlefish which produces a fragrant aroma and attracts many people.

This is Mr Lan. He toasts a cripsy breadlike delicacy the traditional wave using old stove and pan.
Together, they are the LAN BYE BROTHERS!!

"Big O is not big enough for the both of us!"
PS: They share a common middle name which is "Jiao chee" =)

Dun think they have a sister.

Found this beside her store... sublime meaning?

On the way to take a bus back to the pier, we walk through the residences and almost every family is playing mahjong!

Reached the pier and just noticed this huge parking place for bicycles.

Made our way back to Tsim Sa Chui for dinner, the roads are closing for the "CNY parade" later

A mercz getting towed!

TV cameras already on stand by at the best spot!

Decided to have late afternoon tea at "Tang Chow", "Sweet Dynasty". Located just at the side of the road to be closed, this place serves the most delicious dim sum and dessert under one roof at afforadable prices. And its the only single branch in HK so its a must try!

Carrot cake, very different from the normal ones we had here. Very very tasty...

Chee cheong fan, damn nice oso...

Chicken with orange and kiwi, very different but very delicious...

Dessert time!! Its in the bucket! But im not posting pics, see who can guess what is inside. It costs about HKD$80 which is around SGD$16. 4 people can barely finish everything... guess =)

After we left Sweet Dynasty, there were already hordes of people outside!

Took this at the middle of the closed road when on the way back to hotel, almost got barked at by the police =X

Had some fun with Mr.Gun *heh heh*

Still had an hour or so before the parade. Took a rest and also a shot of the Observatory deck of the hotel... Still no pink dolphins -.-
8PM! PARADE TIME!!
*The next few photos will come without caption. The photos were taken at a crowded and awkward place with many ppl pushing around and a clear view cannot be taken. The author at this point of time is also too drained to think of how to describe the following chaotic images...*

Thats all from Chu Xi to Chu Yi!!! I was thinking of putting from Chu Xi to Chu Wu in one post but i think thats too much already... gonna split it up. Stay tune for the rest of the Chus!!
