Day 1: Departing and Arriving... My mom and dad, sent me to Terminal 1 @ 445am. What wonderful parents i have!
Friends who fought with the Z monster and came so early to sent us off. Thanks Patrick and Yiru and the others, we really appreciate it!
Touch down!! Reached Hongkong International Airport after close to 4 hours of flight. The country is really cold here, and i love it!!
From left: Sijie, Liying who are also on the same exchange programme as me and my HKUniversity buddy Jessica on the far right. Waiting for the Airport Express Train which costs HKD70!!! $12SGD!!!
The inside of the express train, quite classy though...
Reached Hongkong and took a cab together to HKU. A surcharge of HKD$5 was imposed on each luggage we had. Reached my Hall, called Simon K.Y Lee Hall put down my luggages and went for lunch, our first meal in HK! I had Roast Chicken leg with rice, taste good for a campus food.
After lunch went back to sleep, too tired. Met again at night for dinner. Jessica brought me to Central(Zhong Huan) to meet up the rest before taking a ferry across to tim tsa chui for dinner. Pic shows the International Financial Centre(IFC), shopping centre selling branded stuff inside.
Pic shows the International Financial Centre(IFC) at Zhong Huan, theres a shopping centre selling branded stuff inside. Didnt have time to really shop though. People are all wearing coats, boots and every other thing you dun see in Singapore.
We had our Dinner at this restaurant called "Youyou". Price is quite reasonable. Food is good. We stayed there from 7pm-9pm+ and nobody chased or stress us to leave. I get that alot in Singapore...
Sour and Spicy Fish. The dish i chosed.
After Dinner, Jessica brought us to Avenue of the Stars. Where they had famous celebrities Handprints all over the floor with signatures on them. I didnt think it was really interesting so didnt took much pictures. Managed to catch the boy looking at me though lol
When we were about to leave, we were lucky enough to catch a bumpboat or what u call that passing us from behind. It is really beautiful and iconic with the rosy red sails and wooden structure of the boat. This pic is also the one i used for my blog design =)
That basically wraps up my first day in HK. Future posts wouldnt be posted in days. I'll definitely post interesting stuff. Please stay tune for more pics. If you guys love pictures of food, theres more to come! I just love the food here, Singapore, needs to wake up her idea =)
PS: sorry for the lousy english, i think the cantonese is affecting me. Will try to improve on my nex post =P
